RF Test and Measurement for Car Infotainment Testing

The following block diagram shows the complete signal flow for the distribution of broadcast signals in large development centers. It starts from the top with roof antennas collecting live signals from AM/FM to satellite radio and GNSS. It then shows how they are combined, mixed with generator signals and distributed to many laboratory desks. As an alternative to wired laboratory desk connections using the Adapter Unit called “FDMX”, the broadcast signals can also be retransmitted through a combination of amplification and radiating cable. This allows radio coverage in presentation halls and large garages where vehicle functionality is presented or tested without access to wired antenna ports.
